The Bethany College Swedes Football team lost Saturday night against powerhouse rivals Kansas Wesleyan. The Coyotes took a 23-0 lead early on in the first half and continued to display dominance through the second half. The Coyotes put up 31 unanswered second half points finishing the game 54-0. In total offense the Coyotes lead with 569 total yards to the Swedes 197. The Swedes play the #18 ranked Bethel College Threshers Saturday, October 2nd in North Newton, Kansas.


The Bethany College Men’s Soccer team lost their second consecutive conference game Thursday against the Southwestern College Moundbuilders. The Swedes held a 1-0 in the first half when Carlos Zamora, but were unable to hold off a Moundbuilders comeback in the second half. Derrick Hayes, Mamadou Diarra, and Lucas Travis of The Moundbuilders scored three consecutive goals in the second half recording 19 shots to Bethany’s four. The Moundbuilders had 10 shots on goal to Bethany’s three. The Swedes will host Friends University on Saturday, October 2nd.


The Bethany College Women’s Soccer team were unable to keep up with the Southwestern College Moundbuilders Thursday. Both teams were held scoreless in the first half until Lauren Fisher of Southwestern scored in the 61st minute. The Moundbuilders would prove to be too much with Bryanna Kuhn scoring a pair of goals in the 67th and 86th minute. The Moundbuilders would defeat the Swedes 3-0 leading in shots nine to seven. The Swedes host Friends University Saturday, October 2nd.


The Bethany College Volleyball team took on the McPherson College Bulldogs Wednesday night. The Bulldogs were able to cap off three straight sets 25-14, 25-23, and 25-21. Madison Scott and Jordan Valentine led the Swedes both with seven kills, while Cameron Boyd led with nine digs. The Swedes host Tabor College Saturday.


The Bethany College Men and Women’s Tennis Team competed in Winfield for the ITA Regionals. Raul Rivero of the Swedes Men's team advanced to the quarter finals winning two matches as the sixth seed in Men’s Singles. Rivero would eventually fall to McPherson College’s singles champion Thomas Zych. Tia Gregory and Jahzuena Bradshaw Douglas competed as individuals and doubles pair for the women. The women's team would also travel to Fort Hays to take on the Tigers. The Swedes would fall to the Tigers 7-0.
